Seth Shostak Receives Award

The SETI Institute’s Senior Astronomer, Seth Shostak, has been awarded the annual Carl Sagan Prize for Science Popularization.

This award, given by Wonderfest, a nonprofit organization dedicated to science education and popularization, especially among adults in the San Francisco Bay Area, is sponsored by Google.  A previous winner is Andrew Fraknoi, a member of the SETI Institute’s Board of Trustees.

Shostak, who has published several books and over 400 popular articles on science and technology, will give a public talk at the award ceremony to be held in San Francisco on January 7.
